They seem very realistic and fascinating. Can we build such structure? let’s talk about Dyson sphere in this article.
Dyson sphere:
Dyson
sphere is theoretical megastructure that incircles the complete star and
capture the large amount of energy of star and sent it back to earth. So, we
can utilize the whole energy instead of using the traditional sources of
energy.
Origin of
theory:
The megastructure named Dyson in the memory of late physicist, freeman Dyson in his science paper “Search for Artificial Stellar Sources of Infra-Red Radiation”. He stated that all technologies civilizations constantly full fill there increasing demand of energy. In future, human civilizations expanded, a point would come when we will depend on sun energy completely. So, he has theoretically estimated to build the revolving structures which were initially called shells, will absorbs sun energy and enable civilization to full fill increasing demand of energy.
Can we
build Dyson sphere?
In ancient world humans were not so knowledgeable, but by course of time they invented fire and wheels and life of human greatly developed. In this modern era, we are using nuclear energy production and we have moved from traditional resources to renewable energy resources.
Our technology has significantly evolved and it
changed every domain of our life. With the help of technology humans have
successfully explored moon, mars and somewhat portion of our galaxy. But still
humans have not developed technology to full fill the requirement of energy. In
future days modern civilizations need lot of energy. And it is not possible to
relay only on earths limited sources of energy. To accomplish the increasing
requirement of energy we have nearest and biggest source of energy is middle of
our galaxy The sun. Is it possible to encompass the sun with our limited
sources of energy and material? It seems impossible. Because our biggest
limitation is itself energy. And it is far beyond humans engineering and
industrial capacity. But in future, Technology will develop and might it will
be possible.
Does Dyson
sphere really exist?
Whole
universe has crores of stars like sun. And it has millions of habitual planets like
earth and scientist believed there are chances that there should be presence of
intelligent civilizations. And it is possible that they have developed such
kind of advanced megastructures in space to complete the energy requirement.
In 2015
astronomer Tabetha Boyajein at Yale university reported a mysterious unknown
flickering star called KIC 8462852. It seems like the partially build Dyson sphere.
This star sets in constellation Cygnus and approximately 1470 light years away
from us. It dimming up to 22% of its brightness. It has increased curiosity
among scientist and various researchers. And later it named as tabby star.
Tabby star
is not only star which has large irregular dimming’s but all young stellers
objects called YSO dippers which have different dimming patterns. Many theories
have evolved after recognition of such diming lights. Many theories states that
light deems due to the dust ring around star but no one know what really exists
there?
